DAY 23 - 25DAYS of Christmas Gifties or Stocking Stuffers

DAY 23 - Christmas Gifties or Stocking Stuffers for The Guests

Gingerbreadmen Poop!

Yeap! You heard me right. I made these Gingerbreadmen Poop for my guests. Lol! What is Christmas without some laughter??? O.o

Here's my recipe for the gingerbreadmen:

1 cup white sugar
1 cup molasses (I use honey)
3/4 cup lard or oil
1/2 cup hot water
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 heaping teaspoon ground ginger
6 or 7 cups all purpose flour, use more flour if needed

Preparation:

Combine first four ingredients, then rinse molasses out of cup with the hot water. Add the eggs and mix to blend well.
Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well until blended. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate until firm.

Roll out dough and cut with a cookie cutter. Bake at 350° for about 10 minutes.

And here is the poem which I found on the web:

Gingerbreadmen Poop

I hear you've been naughty,
So listen, here's the scoop...
I'm running short on coal this year,
so you get "Gingerbreadmen
Poop"
Love, Santa

Gingerbread Men Poop

Heard you've been naughty!
So here's the scoop
all YOU get is
Gingerbread Poop!

Well, hope you had fun laughing! :) Have an awesome Christmas Season! Remember... be good. ;)

My Christmas Swap Cards

Woot! Woo Hoo! I finally did it! *clap*

This is the first time I am participating in a swap card group on facebook. Its kind of exciting. I have been wanting to do this swap for a few years now but each time, I was unable to. :(

So this year, I told myself  I am going to see that I pull right through this! Lol.

For this swap, I wanted to make every card more or less the same and the theme was Tea Bag Folding. I am back to being addicted to Tea Bag Folding.

You should try them at some point. They are awesome and make great stress release methods. Trust me, I know.... I just find it so mind relaxing folding papers. Lol..

Well, here are my cards. Some of it got accidentally deleted. :( But luckily, I had the pictures of the Tea Bag Foldings before I assembled them onto the cards! All in all, I had to make 20 cards and each to be mailed everywhere in the world! Wheee! This is so awesome and exciting!

Maybe I should try and organised one of my own next year...so guys, be prepared. More ideas, activities and goodies coming! :)

Have a Blessed day! *hugs*

Caring Hearts Card Drive

CALLING ALL CARD MAKERS!!!

Hi all. The holiday season is almost here! Its my favourite time of the year. For this coming season I wanted to do something different. I just love and enjoy doing stuffs to give back to society.

A few days back, I was browsing through the net for Card Challenges to participate in and by chance I happen to drop by this wonderful site and it caught my eyes.

Vera Yates (Ling) of  Ling's Design Studio will be organising the annual Caring Hearts Card Drive for the 3rd year! She has been collecting holiday cards for the elderly who are currently residing in nursing homes to bring some love and joy to them.

As we all know, the holiday seasons are about family, kindness, and spreading the joy of goodwill. During this time many of the elderly who lives in nursing homes would really feel the loneliness or missing their family. Wouldn't it be so awesome if we can bring a smile to their face and brighten their holiday season simply by sharing our love of card making? A simple gesture to let them know that they are not forgotten.

So, what better way to do your part? Lend in your support in joining Ling reach as many nursing homes as possible and continue to spread more joy.! :)

We all love making cards and what’s better than knowing our creations can bring a smile to others? I hope that many of you will help out in the effort to spread joy and cheer.

There will be others who have agreed to lend their support to Ling in delivering the cards to selected nursing homes.

A few important details:

This card drive will be going on till November 30, 2012. I will need to receive your cards by November 30, 2012.

In each package, PLEASE include a piece of paper with your name, address, email address and how many cards you sent. This helps in keeping track for prizes! For each card you send, you will get a chance. So the more cards you send, the better your chances.

To thank you for your generosity in supporting this drive, Ling have several PRIZES ready for several winners. There will be many winners and remember… the more cards you send the better your chances. :)

More updates on the prize list to come. Do check out her site constantly for updates : Ling's Design Studio

Sparkles Creation Christmas Card Challenge #44 and Dynamic Duo DD#22

I am so excited! Christmas has always been the best time of the year for me. It's not so much about the shopping and all, it's more about the excitement of meeting my brother and his wife from Singapore, and the gathering of everyone.

I just love Family gatherings!

Well, you can imagine how excited I was to find a Christmas card challenge. Just so timely! :)

For this challenge I wanted to do something different. Instead of the usual, snowman, reindeers, christmas tree and all, I wanted to depict something that I love.

I love ballet. And when I think of Christmas, the Nutcracker always comes to my mind.
Since I have this Ballerina Chipboard which my mum got me when she went for a Craft show a few years back.. I have decided to use it and put it to good use! :)

So, as you can see, my Ballerina is dancing for Joy for this Christmas season! And I hope you have also enjoyed my card! *hugs*

My craft materials are limited so I used whatever I could get my hands on. Its SIMPLE...but its beginning to look a lot like Christmas! *hugs*

Have a blessed day!
